After many years of working in the fashion industry as a designer and pattern-maker, then several years of guiding tourists on the mountain trails of New Zealand’s South Island, I have been inspired by these as well as history and costume. Therefore I love painting colour, texture, fabric, nature and I love painting people.  I am  a self taught artist, as well as having taken private lessons with some of my much admired fellow artists

My series “The Aristocrats” tells a story of our ancestors and the excesses of the time of Louis XVI.  I imagine the portraits hanging in your living rooms and hallways (drawing rooms or library’s), displayed as if they are your own ancestors.
