Nikau Groove

The shape New Zealand’s native Nikau Palms always make me think of the female form. The rounded bowl where the fronds emerge is almost like a pregnant belly, I am fascinated by the way the fronds emerge and always enjoy painting them in groups, here they feel almost as though they are dancing, hence the name Nikau Groove!
