Add something truly unique to your StoneArrow jewellery collection with these one-of-a-kind earrings!  Our up-cycled glass scallop shell design captures the Golden Bay beach vibes and brings a bit of fun to any outfit.  Handcrafted from up-cycled glass and finished with handmade recycled sterling silver hooks. We even had to invent new production methods just to bring this design to full fruition!

While there are over 300 species of scallop that can be found around the world, did you know we have a scallop that is endemic to New Zealand?  The New Zealand Scallop (Pecten novaezelandiae) is completely free-living, mobile and somewhat migratory. They are considered a fine food and New Zealand has a large industry exporting them globally. Recreational and commercial fishing of this species is allowed at particular times of the year, well-know as “the scallop season”. The size and number of scallops which can be caught are under control of the quota management system.
