Renowned for his formalist art assemblages, Ron Hall incorporates materials such as beehive boxes, tea boxes, and other industrial elements—a technique he pioneered during his Master’s Degree thesis in 2000.

Ron’s work challenges us to see the extraordinary in the ordinary, exploring the cultural and aesthetic value of everyday objects. By assembling discarded industrial materials sourced from New Zealand’s cultural heartland, his art reveals unique insights into identity and place, encouraging a fresh perspective on the familiar.
