Designed and handmade right here in our workshop in Golden Bay from up-cycled bottles or windows and recycled sterling silver hooks.

Endemic to New Zealand, our well-known Pōhutukawa trees have an elliptical shaped leaf, commonly seen with tiny holes in them. The holes are typically caused by the native leaf miner weevil, which creates small holes as an adult. The good news is it does not significantly harm the overall health of the tree!

While the distinctive bright red flowers of Pōhutukawa are something of a national icon, the leaves with holes have also been well represented in various mediums by a number of artists due to their charming appeal.
